Gaussian vs Box Blur: Which Should You Use?
Fast Box Blur is similar to Gaussian Blur but calculates faster and has a slightly different look — more blocky and less smooth. The difference is subtle on small blur amounts, but becomes obvious at high blur values. Use it when you need speed or want that sharper-edged blur aesthetic.

Use Gaussian Blur for most situations — it's smoother and more natural. Use Fast Box Blur when you need speed on a heavy timeline, or when you want that slightly sharper, more stylized blur look. At low blur amounts, they look almost identical.
