Fix Flat, Dull Footage in 10 Seconds
Brightness & Contrast is the first fix to reach for on almost any clip. Brightness lifts or lowers how light the whole image looks. Contrast spreads out the difference between the darks and lights, so the image reads as punchier instead of flat. Two sliders, ten seconds, and most footage already looks better.

Add the effect from FX → Color Correction → Brightness & Contrast, then drag each slider until the image looks right for your footage — there's no universal correct number.
